Unite & Move is a heartfelt extension of Unite Studio, created to bring the joy of dance beyond the studio walls and into our community. We’re so excited that you’re here and interested in making a difference through movement.This program is an opportunity for our dancers to share their passion and talent with others, performing in nursing homes, parades, community events, and more. Whether it’s brightening a senior's day or energizing a crowd at a local festival, your dancing will make an impact far beyond the stage.
Currently Unite & Move is only available for dancers who are enrolled into our studio.
What is Unite & MOve?
Unite & Move was born from a passion within our studio and a deep belief in the importance of giving back. We believe that the joy and fulfillment that come from sharing your gifts with others is one of life’s most meaningful experiences. Through this program, our goal is to help dancers grow not only as artists, but also as individuals who contribute positively to the world around them.
At Unite, we recognize that dance is a powerful tool, not just for performance, but for connection, empathy, and personal growth. When dancers use their passion to uplift others, they develop confidence, a sense of purpose, and a deeper understanding of how their art can make an impact. These experiences help build character and foster emotional maturity, preparing them for a life filled with creativity, compassion, and resilience.
By combining the discipline and joy of dance with the opportunity to serve the community, we are giving our dancers a chance to grow in ways that extend far beyond the classroom. We are not just teaching dance, we’re helping to shape well-rounded, confident, and compassionate young people.
Through Unite and Move, dancers will use their love of dance to make a real difference. Whether performing in a nursing home, marching in a parade, or appearing at a community event, they will be spreading joy, connection, and inspiration. We are proud to offer this opportunity, and we can’t wait to see how our dancers will grow, contribute, and thrive.
Why Outreach & not competition?
While we acknowledge that the competitive dance world has its merits, we also believe it can often create unnecessary pressure and comparison among dancers. We have chosen to offer the Outreach Program in place of a competition team because we believe there is a healthier, more fulfilling path for our students. Rather than focusing on trophies and scores, our outreach dancers will focus on impact, community, and authentic performance experiences. We want our dancers to thrive in an environment that celebrates effort, expression, and empathy. We believe that true growth comes not from being judged, but from being of service and doing what you love with purpose
Our Mission
At Unite our mission has always been about more than just training great dancers. We want to help shape compassionate, confident, and community-minded individuals. The Outreach Program allows us to live that mission fully. By sharing their talents with those who may not otherwise have access to the arts, our dancers will make a meaningful impact. This program offers a chance to serve others while continuing to grow artistically and personally. Every performance becomes a way to inspire, connect, and uplift.
What to Expect
Unite & Move is focused in the summer months. Throughout the year, outreach dancers will participate in rehearsals and public performances at various locations. These may include nursing homes, community centers, town parades, and more. Performances will be scheduled throughout the year and may occasionally require weekend or evening availability.
Participation in rehearsals is essential in ensuring that all dancers are prepared and confident for each performance. We want every dancer to feel proud of what they are presenting, and that begins with consistent practice and teamwork.Unite & Move will meet once a month throughout the dance year (September - May) unless there is a performance coming up. We will communicate extra practices well in advance.
Details
Unite & Move is completely free of charge. This is our way of giving back to the community and providing our dancers with additional opportunities to grow. While there is no financial cost, the expectations and commitment required are the same as any other program within our studio.Dancers must be actively enrolled in regular classes at Unite to participate. All studio policies, including behavior, attendance, and dress code standards, will apply. We expect dancers to represent our studio with kindness, professionalism, and respect wherever they go.
What WIll dancers gain?
Dancers in the Outreach Program will walk away with more than just performance experience. They will build confidence by dancing in front of diverse audiences. They will learn the value of service and empathy by bringing smiles to those who need it most. They will strengthen their teamwork and communication skills by working closely with fellow dancers. And most importantly, they will discover how powerful their passion can be when used to make the world a better place.
