OUR PROGRAM

A Full year program with a twist

  • We’re proud to offer a full-year dance program but with a twist that puts your family first. We know your lives are full of more than just dance, and we want that for your kids! Whether it’s soccer, school plays, or family weekends away, we encourage our dancers to explore other interests. At the same time, we also teach that dance is a team sport, and showing up matters . Not just for your dancer’s growth, but for their classmates and choreography too. We recently shifted from a 12–15 week session model to a full-year format. Why? To give families more flexibility and grace. We understand that absences happen and they will! Life gets busy, kids get sick, and things come up. That’s okay. What matters most to us is that dancers stay committed, stay connected, and make the effort to be in class each week. Consistency is key, and we’re here to support your dancer every step (and shuffle!) of the way. Welcome to a program built with real life in mind!

oUR tEACHING PHILOSPHY

our teaching philosophy is rooted in kindness, growth, and a whole-child approach. We lead with empathy, respect, and encouragement, creating a supportive environment where every dancer feels valued and safe. Rather than focusing on perfection, we celebrate progress. Recognizing that growth, effort, and persistence are the true markers of success. We also believe that dance education should nurture the whole child, which means we care deeply about each dancer’s emotional, social, and physical well-being. Our goal is to help dancers thrive both in and out of the studio.

DANCE STYLES WE OFFER

Here at Unite, we specialize in tap, ballet, and jazz, with a strong foundation in technique and expression. Our youngest dancers begin with a Tap/Ballet Combo Class for their first three levels, building confidence and coordination in a fun, structured environment. As they progress, dancers have the chance to focus on the style they enjoy most. As dancers continue to progress in their journey, Jazz is introduced to those who have developed a strong technical foundation. We also offer Lyrical and Contemporary to select ballet levels, blending emotion-driven movement with classical training to enhance both performance and technique. For dancers with advanced training, we offer an invitation-only Modern class. Rooted in the rejection of traditional ballet, modern dance emphasizes grounded movement and expressive freedom. Because of its contrast to classical technique, strong foundational training is essential to safely and effectively explore this powerful style.

sKILL BASED CLASSES

At Unite, we place dancers in classes based on their skill level, not strictly their age. This means your dancer will be learning alongside others who are at a similar point in their training journey, regardless of how old they are. We believe this approach creates the best environment for growth. When dancers are surrounded by peers with similar abilities, they’re more likely to feel challenged, supported, and confident in class. It allows us to tailor instruction more effectively and ensure every dancer is progressing at a pace that’s right for them. Because of this, your dancer might not always be in class with kids their exact age, and that’s okay! It’s not only normal in our studio, it’s one of the things that makes our program strong. We encourage families to see this as a positive opportunity for their dancer to focus on development, not comparison. Our faculty takes great care in assessing placement and is always happy to talk through how we determine the best class fit for your child. We're here to make sure every dancer feels seen, supported, and inspired. No matter where they start.

hOW WE ARE DIFFERENT

To help you decide if Unite is the right fit for your dancer, it’s just as important to share what we don’t do. We don’t push competition or strive for perfection. We believe growth, joy, and confidence matter more. We don’t tolerate drama, gossip, or comparison. Our culture is rooted in kindness and respect. We don’t rush dancers through levels for the sake of appearances. Each child progresses at their own pace and gets moved up when they’re truly ready. And we never sacrifice our values for flashy choreography or adult-themed performances. Age-appropriateness and integrity always come first.
