1. What types of classes do you offer? While our studio is focused on Ballet, Tap and Jazz, as dancers advance in their dance education they will have the opportunity to explore styles such as lyrical, modern, contemporary and the occasional hip hop.
2. How often are classes held?Most classes typically meet once per week, with the exception of our older ballet levels who meet twice a week. This ensures dancers gain the correct strength and technique to work towards pointe shoes.
3. What is the expected time commitment?We recommend regular attendance and practice to see the best progress. All of our classes last between 30 minutes to 75 minutes. Our younger dancers dance the least amount a week and our older more advance dancers have longer classes.
4. What are the costs involved? Tuition fees are between $40 - $65, billed monthly. Our tuition is all inclusive, meaning no costume fees or registration fees.
5. Who are the instructors? Our instructors are experienced professionals with backgrounds in a wide variety of styles. They are passionate about teaching and committed to your child’s development.
6. What are your studio policies?We maintain a respectful, safe environment. You can find our handbook at the bottom of this page. We ask families to review these carefully before enrolling.
7. Are there performance opportunities? Yes! We offer a spring showcase recital in the spring. If a dancer would like to have more opportunities to perform, we welcome them to join our community outreach program called Unite & Move. Where we take dancers to various venues around our community for free performances to people who wouldn’t typically have access to a dance performance.
8. How do you ensure safety? Student safety is our top priority. Our facility is clean, secure, and staffed with trained professionals. We also follow health and safety guidelines rigorously.
9. Can parents observe classes?Currently we do not let anyone in the classroom besides our dancers and staff to ensure our dancers are not distracted and get the most out of their class.
10. Do you offer any sort of financial aid or scholarships?Yes we do! While we can’t guarantee anything, we invite families to complete our form, it can be found on our tuition page. Once completed we will reach out to you before classes start.
11. What is the student-to-teacher ratio in classes?We typically only have 1 teacher per class but this varies.
12. How do you handle different skill levels within the same class? We do everything we can to structure our classes based on skill and not age meaning our classes may have larger age gaps but they are all at the same level making classes easier and more engaging without feeling overwhelming or underwhelming.
13. What happens if a student misses a class? If a student misses a class we please ask that you either email the studio or schedule it through our mobile app. Please view our attendance policy in our handbook.
14. Do you offer private lessons or extra help? Absolutely! If a dancer would like some extra help, any of our instructors are more than happy to help!
15. What is your policy on illnesses, injuries and health conditions? Your dancer's health is our top priority. If a dancer has any health conditions please notify our studio by sending us an email and we will make sure it gets noted in their account. As far as illnesses, and injuries, please visit our handbook for all the details.
16. Are there opportunities for students to get involved in leadership or mentorship roles?If we see a qualified dancer who is showing a ton of progress and dedication we will invite them to assist in a class of the instructor's choice. This gives our older dancers a fun and exciting way to be on the other side of dance, see what it's like to instruct opposed to take class.
17. What is the parking and drop-off/pick-up situation like?We have a shared parking lot with several other businesses. For our young dancers, we ask that parents walk them in to drop them off and come to the door to pick them up. We have a small lobby area that gets crowed easily so we ask parents to please wait until the class dismissal time to come into the studio to pick your dancer up.
18. How do you handle sibling discounts or family memberships?Families who have multiple dancers receive a 5% discount on 2 or more classes or 10% on 4 and more classes. The same discounts apply to families with multiple dancers.
19. Do you have a lobby for families to wait in?While we do have a lobby, it is small and meant for our dancers to hang out in.
